depart from iniquities

Let all that are called by the name of the Lord depart from all iniquities

John 1:17 ''For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ''

Friends, when the Law was given through Moses, it was devoid of grace and that was the reason that sacrifice upon sacrifice of bulls and animal blood were required, however, it was only to cover the sin without affording the ''cleared'' the power of performance. Moses, who received it himself operated it without and at the close of the Old Testament, God promised that His words and commandments will not be operated again without but within.

Jesus did not receive but came with the grace and truth; let the wayward be warned, Jesus did not cancel the Law, but the totality of the fulfilment of the Law was perfected in Him and what the Law could not perfect when it was without, it perfected within in Christ Jesus through grace and truth. Now, God's children no longer have to focus on the punishment as a deterrent of keeping the Law but rather on truth as enabled God's love; the real propellant.

Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ; every truth is packaged with performance ability, so we made God a liar anytime we posited that a particular truth is unachievable (yet we know God is not a liar but we are simply fooling ourselves and making ourselves a laughing stock for the devil) ; that is my thought but much more that is what the Scripture says. Many a times we make the grace of God of no effects and frustrate so great a grace.

But will He continue to forgive us? Yes and No! ''We cannot continue in sin and ask that grace continues'' and He only determines and decides where each person's grace ceases and He when He cannot be ''fooled'' any longer (remember king Saul and king Solomon's elder brother)

He is a faithful God both to show mercy and also in purity of judgement. God bless and have a Spirit-led week IJN
